Fall Announcement 2020

Newsletter Fall 2020
Dear Friends of Peoplebridge,

We want to wish you and your families a healthy and safe Thanksgiving.

Over the past several months PEOPLEBRIDGE, like many other charitable organizations and our supporters, have been faced with the Covid-19 pandemic disruptions to our organization plans, strategies and activities, including the cancellation of the Spring 2020 Gala, a major source of funding for our various projects.

Despite these challenges, we are very pleased to announce the successful completion of the following projects which we had committed to fund this year:

– Development of 500 button headbands for medical staff and health care workers at institutions across Toronto.  These headbands alleviate the issue of mask strings around their ears providing more comfort for their continuous wear for 8-12 hours regularly.

This included a new Health Center for weekly visits by nurses; masks and soap supplies for covid-19 safety; solar panels for the community power needs; expansion of the kitchen; an additional well and latrine for the community, and educational services.

Your support was critical in ensuring People Bridge continued to meet our goals and objectives of helping to relieve poverty and improving health care outcomes for communities globally. While the new Board continues to research opportunities to keep you informed and engaged in supporting our efforts, we trust that you will continue to support our programs with donations, however small.
